Rain Harvesting’s 100mm Delta Post/Wall First Flush Diverter (WDPW10) is a large volume first flush diverter that incorporates a revolutionary chamber design using multiple 100mm pipes for simple installation and high volume diversion. The unit features the patented First Flush Plus Tee and Advanced Release Valve to optimise first flush performance.
Why Use First Flush Diverters? Using a first flush diverter improves water quality and reduces tank maintenance by preventing the first flush of water (which may contain roof contaminants such as sediment, bird droppings, spiders, insects, mosquito eggs and debris) from entering your tank. They help ensure cleaner water is available for use, protecting rainwater pumps and internal appliances.
Features of 100mm First Flush Delta Post/Wall Diverter
- First Flush Plus Tee: The specially designed, patented First Flush Plus Tee forces fast-flowing water into the diversion chamber, preventing the problem of dirty water “skipping” over the traditional T-junction gap during heavy rainfall. This ensures that contaminated first flush water is reliably diverted, even in high flow events.
- Delta High Volume Chamber: Easily divert large volumes of first flush with the Delta High Volume Chamber. Using multiple 100mm pipes to create the diversion chamber, the Delta’s revolutionary design makes installation simple. The Delta chamber is customisable to suit your first flush requirements:
- 1m Delta chamber = 73 litres of diversion
- 2m Delta chamber = 115 litres of diversion

Use the Delta Diversion Chamber Calculator in the installation guide to determine the correct chamber size for your roof collection area and pollution level.
- Integrated Ball and Seat: This unique design ensures that the first flush ball remains close to the seat, even in high flow events, ensuring the diverter seals as soon as the chamber is full. No more lost balls when cleaning your outlet either!
- Transparent Rapid Release Exit Funnel: The Rapid Release Exit Funnel’s larger aperture outlet and funnel shape draws sediment into the exit flow, resulting in reduced build-up and blockages. Its transparent design also allows for easy visual inspection, making maintenance straightforward.
- Advanced Release Valve: The electronic Advanced Release Valve allows you to program how frequently the first flush chamber empties, helping you maximise rainwater yield without compromising quality. A longer reset interval means the chamber empties less frequently, resulting in a higher water yield. A shorter reset interval means the chamber empties more frequently, resulting in a lower water yield.

I ordered a $20 item plus transport from Tank Shop.
It arrived in Melbourne 2 days later and sat in the transport company’s warehouse for 2 weeks, waiting for delivery 15km away! Malessa at Tank Shop rang and emailed them each day of the second week, along with my emails to them to speed up delivery. Tank Shop offered a replacement item, sent by another transport company the day before the item arrived. Really?
