Tank Shop’s Order Review & Management Service covers the work we undertake to review, document and manage your water tank order from purchase through to manufacture and delivery.
Depending on your project, this may include:
- reviewing tank and fitting requirements;
- checking plans or preparing fitting diagrams;
- confirming custom requirements with the manufacturer; and
- coordinating production, delivery details or order changes.
For many years, we have included much of this work at no additional charge. As the time and costs associated with properly preparing and managing water tank orders have increased, we now separately identify the cost of this service so we can continue providing this level of support.
What does the service include?
The work required varies from one order to another. Depending on your tank and project, our Order Review & Management Service may include:
- reviewing your tank selection, dimensions, colour and order details before manufacture;
- reviewing relevant building, hydraulic, stormwater or engineering plans supplied to us, particularly for OSD and rainwater reuse tanks, to help identify tank-related requirements such as storage volumes, fitting sizes, locations and approximate heights;
- assisting with the interpretation of OSD, rainwater reuse and fitting requirements shown on supplied plans;
- confirming requested inlet, outlet, overflow, balance and other fitting sizes and locations;
- preparing tank fitting diagrams where required to clearly document the requested configuration;
- checking unusual or customised fitting requirements with the manufacturer;
- confirming whether requested fittings and locations can be accommodated by the selected tank;
- liaising with the manufacturer regarding tank configuration, production requirements and order changes;
- coordinating production and delivery information;
- communicating manufacturer updates and delivery scheduling;
- maintaining records of your tank configuration and order requirements; and
- providing order-related support before and after delivery.
Our guidance is based on our experience with water tank orders and manufacturers, together with the plans, measurements and information supplied to us.

Order Review & Management Service Costs
Given the review, documentation and administrative work involved in properly preparing and managing water tank orders, a 2.5% Order Review & Management Service charge applies to water tank orders.
The service charge is shown separately from the tank price and forms part of the total order price.
For example:
Water tank: $3,000.00
Order Review & Management: $75.00
Total order price: $3,075.00
Tank Shop also offers a 2.5% Prompt Payment Discount across all orders where payment is made in full by direct bank transfer within 7 days.
Using the example above:
Total order price: $3,075.00
2.5% Prompt Payment Discount: –$76.88
Total payable: $2,998.12
In practical terms, this means customers paying promptly by direct bank transfer can receive the full benefit of our Order Review & Management service while the Prompt Payment Discount offsets the additional service cost.
Your order or invoice will clearly show the full order total, any applicable Prompt Payment Discount and the amount payable by direct bank transfer.
Why does Tank Shop provide this service?
Water tanks are often large, customised products manufactured specifically for an individual order.
Once an order enters production, changing the colour, dimensions or fitting configuration may be difficult or sometimes impossible. Taking the time to properly review and document an order beforehand can help reduce errors, misunderstandings and unnecessary delays.
It also means there is someone at Tank Shop who understands the order and can communicate with the manufacturer when questions or changes arise.
Our role is not simply to forward an order to a factory. We help review, document, communicate and manage the tank order using the experience we have developed through working with customers and water tank manufacturers throughout Australia.

Our involvement does not necessarily end once your order is submitted for manufacture.
Tank Shop remains available to assist with order enquiries, production and delivery communication, and manufacturer liaison where required.
